Hello, I'm currently working on a short demoreel I'm gonna submit when I apply for university.

In my scene there is a character that has 3 blades in different places, I have already parented the blades to their respective scabbard/holder and assigned them as rest position 1, after that i created a 2nd set of rest positions in the hands of the character, however i do not know how i should constrain the 2nd set of rest positions so that the blades follow the movement of the hands.

Any help is greatly appriciated.

in case you're using maya you might be able to do that with parent constrains. that way you can parent constrain the blade to multiple objects and key their weights.

Thanks that helps a bit, though can you explain how you key their weights so i can change between the rest positions as the character is going to resheat and unsheat them a couple of times.

when you select the constrained object you will see in the (channel box) some attributes called "your first constrain object 1W0, your second constrain object name 1W1...." this is where you key the weights.
