One of those unfinished challenge pics that was hanging around waiting to be forgotten. Work was going really badly, so I took a break and spent half an hour on this instead. Just about presentable. Better than ditching it anyhow.

Wonderful Nick - it feels almost like a chalk drawing, such is the contrast in the silvers and blues - perfect for Riddles in the Dark! You've captured a great youthfulness in Bilbo's face - almost child-like. The pale light reflected in his eyes - mirroring Gollum's palid orbs - is a great touch (deliberate foreshadowing?) It's great to see a new image from you Nick - I hope you're well ;) Phil
