Has anyone here used a tutorial from this site in C4D xl? If so how well does it translate into the program because I think that the guy who does them is using 3DS Max. Like when he used the knife tool in the Joan of Arc one, I had the chance to try it in C4D and the only snag I hit was that the knife tool would cut through the whole shape.

the knife tool wont cut through everything if you've got a selection, then it will only cut through the selection.

the tutorial looks like it would be a pain to convert to c4d as it seems to work using a lot of n-gons, which would mean an awful lot of cleanup. also he seems to jump through the steps real fast, missing out stuff... depending on your level of experience this might be ok, but if you're starting out then this might be very annoying. he seems to put a lot of detail into that head for a low poly model :/

anyhow, best you can do is jsut try it out.

no but i have been wondering about the joan of arc one...i was thinking about giving it a go...was it easy in cinema (adaptable)...would you do this one over another one...what part did you have issue with...if you were starting again...would you actually bother using this tut...etc.
