Hi and il appologise in advanced if this seems like i stupid question but its been annoying me for the past couple of days now.
In the Mental ray globals under pysical memory in maya 8.5 I keep changing the limit from 360 which is there automaticallyto a higher setting say 1000, and every time i render it re drops it back to 360.
Now i have a brand new system running vista business edition and 4 gigs of ram and the pc tells me the system is only using 35% of the ram so surely i should be able to up the physical memory limit in the mentalray globals without a problem?
Any suggestions?
