Working on Character #2 at the moment. Hopefully, I'll have some time to post a few animation tests before I get down to the nitty gritty :)
Thanks for the support Ila!
Hope to see you in the animation challenge as well!

Debriefing:

Two days ago, a helicopter flying 10-20m high, inserted a special ops team 2km near a Main Supply Route (MSR) for military traffic. They were to be the first of three 8 men teams to watch the MSR. Secondary objectives for this team were to blow up underground fiber optic cables, eliminating communication for Scud commanders in that region. The Scud commanders have to receive their commands from top-ranking officials; therefore, not being able to make decisions on their own, they’d be removed without much resistance. Above ground dishes and comms were already severely attacked by aircraft.
The first team failed. They were discovered immediately at the incursion point. Which suggests the possibility of a mole.
Of the 8-man team, 6 were killed, 1 captured, and 1 escaped.
Until the mole has been flushed out, all internal “Class A” operations have been halted. A recovery mission is underway, and will be outsourced to a Freelance Specialist, codename “RedFoot”.

The primary objective: Retrieve Captain Frank Durham.

wow~ i like how you break down the actions. also the idea to draw them on black with different colors (much easier to see than B&W). great sketches! can't wait to see more.

Here's what I have so far.

I'm thinking I might throw in 2 more quick shots into this animation, but we'll see how things go.

wow! your animation is really starting to look great!

your display of top heavy weight with the character on top of the other character is done really well!

My only crit would be some of the poses don't hold long enough to read, for me anyway... and some of the cuts are a bit strange...
For instance when redfoot sits up after playing dead the next cut has neither of the characters in it... so he just sort of dissapears for a while, unlike your other cuts which maintain the same number of charactes in them...

overall it looks great though!

Haha, I love it steve! It's great and original!
I love when the dude is doing that wrestling style jump, haha, it's so cool!
Those weights are awsome, wish I knew how to do that :surprised

Only crit would be like inspleak said, when he sits up he sorta dissapear to fast, maybe make him stand up a little bit atleast.

Keep it up amigo!

Thanks for the tips & support friends!!
Here's the final animations. Not the greatest background, but I guess it'll have to do.

Good job man. Nice work. The part where he's pounding the guy repeatedly cracks me up. You know, we all have those feelings sometimes. :) What is the guy doing sleeping anyways?

"What is the guy doing sleeping anyways?"
Haha, good question Rogue....
Yeah I thought that it might come up sooner or later. The reason the sleeping guard is there in the first place is he's guarding Captain Frank Durham, which is foundation for why Redfoot is there as well.
That grey square in the background will become a prison cell, once the scene's finished. Though, the backstory to why he's sleeping on the job is due to a fight last night with his wife, where he ended up sleeping, the 2 hrs before he had to go to work,on a worn out couch - Now in retrospec, could have ended up being a better fight scene than this. Since I could have used a relationship(to strengthen the story) and to a certain degree most people watching the animation could relate more to.
I'd say if anything, it was the most important aspect of "Story" that I learnt this last month.

Holy.. I love it. This is gonna show my age but it reminds me a lot of an old game called Ecstatica that used spheroid animation. Really cool.
