Hi,
this is my first pic on CGSociety and I hope you'll like it.

This picture shows a race battle between Anakin and Sebulba. I was inspirated by the cover of the Star Wars Episode I Soundtrack (backprint)
I tried to rebuild the rough outline of the originals(with the help of small toy podracers I used to play with, when I was a child) and not to copy every detail. That's why there might be a few differences between the original podracers an mine.
I also wanted to make a kind of cinema poster. That's why I placed the film title under the picture.

Really nice modeling. Textures should have more dirt, scratch and dust.

It's also a bit oversaturated. And, didn't the arcs have different colours on different pods? I can't check right now..

I agree. It makes the pods seem to be "out of the scene".

Thank for the comments.
When I posted this picture on an other website, someone asked me the same question about the light arcs.
I am very sure that all podracers have the same arc color and especially Sebulba's and Anakin's podracer definitely have the same arc color.
Perhaps you mixed it with the color of the laser shots in Star Wars. They have different colors

When I posted this picture on an other webpage, I was asked the same question about the color of the light arcs.
I am very sure that they all have the same color and especieally the color of Anakin's and Sebulba's arc is the same.
Perhaps you mixed it with the color of the laser shots in Star Wars. They are different

Very nice picture. I like the motion and dynamic in it. Good materials and lighting too.
