Animation : grass blowing in the wind

not easily. either use shag hair to make the grass then use dynamics, or if its standard try using the flex modify with a wind and noise bezier.
all very unpredictable and memory intesive.

Tere is a script called "blow grass" at www.scriptspot.com, which is very fast, since it just apllies a animated bend modifier to your grass strands. Looks good enough for most cases though...

I've done this before using ShagFur and animating the Leaning/Bending values very subtly.

Another thing worth trying is the "Grass-o-Matic" plugin.
It's a free plugin which ships with "Druid" (tree-builder)...
