It is cool, but I have to admit the shadow/sun beam on the surface of the floor/bed is really strange, if oyu look at the window its not like that..

Hey, looks pretty good IMO. Although there's something about the picture that keeps it from being awesome and from being photorealistic.
The cross seems to be just hanging there? and is almost out of place i think.
Perhaps work on the sky, leave textures, and lighting. Looking good other wise!

The shadowing on the ceilings and walls doesn't match.

I have a question for all you lighting experts out there....
Is there an way I could make this piece look more realistic? Like saltank said, the shadows on the walls and ceiling dont look too good. I think there should be a shadow (at least a small one) cast by the picture on the right, and by the egyptian plate and the little painting below it. I think the floor shadowing looks fine.
All I am using right now is a dome skylight with 20-30 spot lights. I also have an omni light inside for some more specularity, and a spot light coming through the window to get that sunlight effect on the bed/floor. Its rendered in Brazil.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Alright, looks MUCH better. 2 Small comments and i'll be on my way:
Shouldn't that plant by the window cast shadows? After all, the window is the main source of lighting in this picture.
Secondly, IMO i think that the "specular level is a bit much on the wood bedframe. Or something like that. The covers seem a bit too shiny for my blood.
Nice image, great improvement!
