View Full Version : Good start in modeling?
AutoBot2000 06-04-2003, 02:37 AM I was wondering what is a good Tut for learing to model? I tried one with using hypernurbs to make a car but found that mine wasnt looking to well. So i though i would try another way to model.
Also how do you add images in C4D for reference? For example when you want to model a car you have the top, side and front views.
Thanks guys and gals:thumbsup:

I would start with some of the tutorials on Maxon's website. The Chess Set tutorial will give you a good introduction to the nurbs tools, and the Meissie tutorials are a great introduction to polygon modeling. I wouldn't worry to much about the results at this point, so long as you're understanding the tools and principles. You'll get better with practice.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Meissie Tut...i cant believe i over looked that one and i visited MAxon site alot.
Im guess im really tough on myself when it comes to details and looks and if something doesnt look good to me i get really pissed...even if other people seem to like it alot. I guess i have to get over that.
But thanks again.

i hope that car tut works for cinema 8
but thanks
LOL nope R7 tutorials can't be used with R8 its aginst the law. I hear you can get something liike 8 years in the federal pen for using older tutorials.
just kidding dude. all tutorails are usable with current versions of cinema, well pretty much anyway. I havent found to many that are so old they can't be used with a newer version. Its always the other way round.
