It kinda fits here as well.
The thread was about cg in films. My reply was about the shading of the Hulk.

Hmmm... to be perfectly honest, I really don't think it looks very good at all  The skin looks too hard.

we were talking about how the shading and texture of the hulk looked like rubber or playdough.
I commented on how I didn't like how saturated it was.
whatcha think about it? Original is on top.

Ho! Now I see your point...
And yes, I think to that Hulk is maybe too saturated. But the original character were design in green flashy thing... So I guess it's some sort of nostalgy to keep it purly 'radioactive' green.
Your proposition is not bad tho, and can be adjusted better, of course...

Yeah, the image ended up going through a bunch of jpeg compressions too, kept saying file was too big and I never bothered to save the original. :)
True the glowing green may work in compic books but If they stuck with comic colors in Xmen for the costumes no one would have gone to see it. :)
I guess I also wanted to kinda ask what everyone though on skin shading on "non-human" characters.
edit: oh boy, that version of the jpeg looks like crap. I should have kept the one I made. You would have liked it a little more.
