Hi... my first post at this great forum, and already I need help ;)

How can I make a plain, white, reflecting material? I played around, looked at different Tutorials, but nothing looked very good.

The material has to look very clean and unnaturally... i guess many of you use such materials as a background for your renders.

Thank you for your help!

Another question... is 3dmax still a good software :p
I heared, the time for it is over (since Maya, Lightwave...) True?

Max is doing just fine, in fact it's rightly taken its place astride Maya at highend3d.com! The Max community is strong, the Discreet marketing machine is making waves, and I think it's safe to say Max will be around for a while to come:buttrock:

As to your white material issue, what's wrong with just a white standard mat with high specularity/spec level and a raytrace map in the reflection slot?
