ok, i am used to using 3ds max which i do not have on my current computer. i am using wings 3d on this one and have been doing pretty good with modelling. now my question is, i would like to be able to render to pov ray. i have been searching for info on this and i think you can only render rib files? anyway, can anyone tell me(im retarded and not reading enough documentation) what the process of rendering out of wings into povray would be, or if there is a renderer that is similar to the max style?
thank you very much for any help

Hi!

Wings was able to export povray files using a plugin written by KayosIII.
Unfortunately, the last version is for Wings version 0.98.08.
You can check KayosIII webpage here (http://www.midcoast.com.au/~rgcoy/hobbies/wings.html).

The current version of Wings has the ability to render scenes with yafray (homepage (http://www.coala.uniovi.es/~jandro/noname/)) that although still in an early stage of development, can achieve already pretty good results.

If you still want to render with PovRay, you might export from Wings to .obj and then use a tool like PoseRay (http://user.txcyber.com/~sgalls/index.htm) to convert it to PovRay.

I hope this was of some help. :D

Best regards.
