Hey guys, well I have some of my robot model setup so I figured I'd get a pic of it up here to start the thread for the tex challenge. The textures I have now are TOTALLY temp :bounce:

Right now I'm working on getting the rest of the model made. I hate coming into stuff late :annoyed:

Hey looks interesting so far cant wait to see where your going with the model. Will this robot be freash off the press or are you going to add wear and tear?

It's going to have some wear and tear. I am going for a look like H.R. Geiger had redesigned the T1000 terminator. I'll have some updates over the weekend.

OK, I've done a little more. I added some of the tubes in the back of the robot's head and I added the central skull.

I could really use some texturing ideas for this. I'm going for a look as if H.R. Gieger had redesigned the terminator. I imagine the core skeleton part of the robot as being some sort of metalic, and the armor pads on the outside looking bio-mechanical or organic. Help please...Should I even bother continuing work on this POS or what?

Hey I think thats a good Idea on the textureing. Light metalic metal with a dark black giegery texture on the pads. You could test the color scheme easily by assigning colors to the different parts. Anyway textureing is the best part, it would be ashame if ya didnt finish this bad boy.

This "character" had started out as just a study on different ways of setting constraints on mechanical arm parts for animation. and it sort of metamorphed into this half-a$$ character design. I had never planned on this becoming a character and I didn't have any specific designs. Hence the piecemealed look to the different parts. Soooo...I'm killing this character. I learned what I wanted with the constraints. Plus I'm capable of such better work than this. I'm going to humbly drop out of this challenge and I'm going to introduce a new character (mecha / future warrior) in the WIP section.

A BIG thanks to all those who replied here. Hopefully my new character will be worthy of your time.
