View Full Version : Cinematic Game Icons - vehicle - wolfzbane
Wolfzbane 06-03-2003, 07:57 PM Hi, this will be my first challenge, kinda nervous, lol.
Here's my entry, a very quick doodle which I intend on creating in 3D.
It would be for a racing game featuring old geezers on turbo wheelchairs which I dubbed the Wheelster.
Fully equipped with massive engine, Oxygen tank and serum bag, heh heh.
Of course, like all projects, the final product may contain many changes and improvements, but that's the basic idea anyway.

LOL!
Funny concept. A bit scary, but funny at the same time.
BTW, you can insert image urls to appear in your posts by clicking the little button labeld "IMG" in the post creation controls.
Or, you can simply format the image yourself by placing this: [IMG] before your image url, and this : [IMG/] after it.
:buttrock:
Best of luck!

Here's more work done. I know everything looks very clean and shiny... will fix that at the end. Now I just slapped on some surfaces I already had lying around... it's temporary.

Thanks for the comments.
Actually, having just one wheel at the front is kinda interesting, I'll ponder on this some more.
About the steering... I was thinking of inserting a kind of mechanism which resembles those "walking aids" that old folks use, you know, the 4-legged metal tubing things?! Modified so that it leans toward becoming a handlebar steering device. Then again, maybe an oversized flight joystick will look better, lol.

Exhaust pipes and details on tire rims.

Oxygen tank + Serum Bag + Joystick Steering.
The image quality suffers a bit, so I also included a link to a higher resolution one on my website.

Lol, thats awesome, i love the idea, but i think the front should be longer to give it alittle mroe of a dragster look
Wolfzbane

Well actually I had modeled the front end much longer than this at the beginning (almost twice as long), but I thought it looked too much like a dragster and was starting to lose it's wheelchair identity. I guess the wheelchair aspect of it is pretty much buried in all the dragster parts so far anyway. What does everbody else think? I'm really open to all comments here.
I think short front is good, more original look.i think less reflection to pipe and engine are.Look good still.:)

Well, I'm out from under the woodwork.... back at work.
I've got 3 new images, mainly nurny-work on the engine and some tweaking of my objects.
Also did a quick render of some furry dice for the windshield, I thought it could add a classic-korny-kinda-touch. lol.
I linked to my website 'cause I just can't get those pics below 20k and still keep'em nice looking, sorry.
