Real cool idea. It sounds like it would be a lot of fun. The model is coming looking great. You have got a lot os personlaity in the pose. I can see him there squaking out orders.

The only thing that kinda bothers me is the shape of the boots - they look a little strange.
Then again, that might be because they have to accommodate birdy feet :)

For added detail, it might be cool to add nostrils to the beak, as well as to add mroe ripples and folding in his clothes.

I agree that the boots are an odd shape. Other than that, it could be cool to add some facial expression to him. He seems a bit vacant right now. But I guess you'll get to that after he's finished up.

Good call on the testicles. You should add some hair to really hammer home the balls...hehe... only kidding.

They do look a bit ball like, but I'm not sure what you could do to change that. Maybe flatten them out a bit?
