View Full Version : Help with deflecting particles

Hi All,

What i need help with is the following:-


particles follow path
particles then hit a 3D form and start to hit against it's surface
some build up and some fly round the outside of it because of the wind
What i've done to date:-


set-up p-array
added wind
created a spline for the path
attached the p-array to the path with the pathfollow space warp
created the object which and added a udeflector

So far the partilces flow down the path and go through the object instead of hitting it.

I had it working and hitting the object before but soon as i added the path follow it doesn't recoginse the 3d geometry anymore.


Any Clues to why??

Could be the order in which the spacewarps are calculated, try switching that around, so it's bound to the udeflector first, then the path follow.

It's worth checking out doing it in pflow with speed by icon (to make it follow the path)... 'cept in pflow you need the collision after the speed op in the event.

Cheers for that a standard flow was the way forward using the speed by icon to follow the path.

Got it all working just couldn't achieve the same effect completely but it's working at least.
