try swift3d? /swift3d max plugin?

If you don't mind going the brute force approach, you can always render out an image sequence of the full camera motion path, bring the sequence into Flash, trace bitmap, and use ActionScript to control the shuffling of the resulting vector frames. The final file will probably only be viable on broadband or cable, but you don't have to worry about shelling out for a plug-in. Just another idea...

Yes this is possible, but I would stay away from the trace bitmap. The reason is if you have a high color picture the trace bitmap wants to turn every little bit of color to vector. Depending on your threshold you can end up with adding a lot of extra size simply by going to vector. Might be better to just keep it as gif or jpg image.
Also if you are using max arelady you should consider going with Plasma. You can take your pre existing scene from max and take it right into plasma and just render to flash. Nice thing with plasma vs Swift3d is Plasma is made by discreet so you have a similar tool set so you can model in the program as well with great results. Also when you export from Plasma it creates a swf about 1/2 the size as what flash would put out.
