wait wasn't it supposed to be 3.5 that was announced?

ok so after reading the links, this is the announcement of the OSX release only..which i guess means3.5 is still in the works for the end of the year then.

still, great news for mac users!

3.12 is to get the mac osx intel version out and so make zbrush the same on mac osx intel and also windows users finally

mac zbruish has been stuck on version 2 for quite a while so this brings mac inline with the windows version finally.

3.5 is due for release by the end of 2008 and will be a unified release so that BOTH mac osx intel and windows users get an update on the same day with new as yet to be released updated tools and workflows.

hope that clears up any confusion

About time!

I hope both versions of 3.5 will also get released simultaneously.

I'm sure they will. I don't think Pixologic wants to go down that road again! :)

What is the news here beside a mac release? Title makes it like there is an update coming for pc.

Will it be possible to transfer Windows license to Mac? Or maybe some sort of cross platform license purchase option? I already own 3.1 on Windows but if I can get a Mac version without shelling out full price, I will be one step closer to not using Windows.

If you have a license for ZB2 then you can upgrade to ZB3 for free.

Hey Nessjp, any news to your question? Did you contact Pixologic?

It seems like this statement in the announcement would allow Windows users to use their license on the OS X side at no additional cost??

All registered users of the current version, including those who purchase between now and the release of
ZBrush 3.12 will receive the new version as a free upgrade.
