Chinese people regard lotus as an emblem of purity because of it lives in the silt but not imbrued, so the woman is likened to Lotus that it described very pure and beautiful. I think for this fine and sharp character and main part, the background is too poor.

I really like the flower and the leaves, and the bubbleing stonefish.

But take care... a background with this kind of sharpness and amount of decorations could be overcomposed and crowded...

The foreground is very beautifully drawn, but the background really does take away from the potency of the feeling..simply because it does dominate so much of the space in this image. I look forward to seeing more work from you c:

Apsolutely superb and beautiful rendering. You know that the background lets it down, so I just think a bit of judicious cropping would improve it tremendously. Brilliant work nevertheless.

powerful .. supple skin shade! :eek: love it to the core! i think depth of field would've worked, to bring her into focus and yet keep the blue toned background in place with no detail needed ;)

still love the entire composition :love: well done!
