The great city of Umtai seems but a fleeting dream as the search for the lost airship draws to a conclusion. A lonely dromedar rider breaks off the main group and hurries toward the charred and broken debris of what was once a magnificent airship. His son had been on the ship, returning from a merchant trip to the distant kingom rich with ores and metals. The old man had thought this was a stroke of luck for his son and his entire family.
In the distance, as a testament to his misfortune, a lonely star, Lucifer, shines just above the mighty stone citadel.
