Title: Being and Tweet

This was originally developed while I was at a summit at Microsoft HQ. Lots of people were on their computers, twittering this and that, reloading it, checking on their other "social stream" websites, then back again. Making snarky comments. I find twitter a weird thing. So I imagined these people forming their identities on twitter, in the process deconstructing their physical selfs and just turning into tweets. That's the concept in this painting.
I originally named it "I Tweet Therefore I Am", but I was recently reading a book of Heidegger's essays and decided that Being and Tweet -- a play on his influential book Being and Time -- would be a more appropriate name.
This is my first digital painting. It probably took me 40 hours total time, but i worked on it over a period of 3 months because my daughter was born halfway through :)
