View Full Version : Attempting to Animate a Messenger Bag

Hello All,
I'm trying to get a messenger bag to bounce and follow an animated character.
I've been having a bit of luck with the cgTkDynChain.mel script. I don't think the
script is my problem, rather my method.

I've tried having two chains of bones (one for the strap going to the bag in the front and
another for the strap that wraps around the back) Both "TIPS" of these bone chains are
in the bag itself. This works but the tips respond differently causing the bag to stretch a great amount. (this gave me two folicals with each having a point lock set to BASE)

I then tried having one bone chain that ran along the strap, through the bag and ended at the back. On this one I had the Folical "Point Lock" set to "Both Ends" This seemed to act
a bit more like i wanted but at the "TIP" end, the motion was very bad.

Any ideas?
