View Full Version : Play nCloth cache backwards?

I see in the docs there is a way to make a clip out of an nCloth cache and use it in the trax editor (very cool, didn't know that was possible!)

Before I start figuring that out and setting it up - does anyone know if there are any problems playing an nCloth cache clip backwards? And at varying speeds?

I'm creating the cache now, I'll want to play it in reverse, hold it for awhile, then play it forward.

So I was getting lost trying to find all sorts of fancy solutions for this, ended up doing something very simple.

I copied the cache directory and renamed the files to number them backwards.

Added that "new" cache to the cloth - now have two clips in trax editor to play with - one plays forwards, the other backwards! :)

You can also graph the nCloth cache node and break its connection to time...then just create and connect a new time node and key it to play at any speed.

You can simply flip the timewarp curve of the trax's clip of your cache. ;)
