Hello everyone
Still a newb studying basics of cinema here
Quick question
What's the difference between using the HDRI picture as color channel and using it as environment channel?
Why would you use it in color channel and not in environment channel??
I see a slight difference when i tried on a sphere but I would like to know the difference in detail?

Thanks again

J

The color channel places a shader/texture directly onto the surface of your object.

Anything you put into the environment channel acts as a "virtual reflection map". Its not directly mapped onto the surface but appears as a reflected image on the surface.
