CGTalk - Graph editor: spline length?

Is there a way to adjust the length of the spline/tangent things in the graph editor??
if i break the tangent, i can move them independently up and down, but not length (time) ways..
i want to move one of the tangents further to the side to ease in the motion more.

you have to unlock the tangent weights first to be able to change their length.
