One of your problems is that you are hosting it on youtube.
Youtube looks very amateur and low rez. Try Vimeo it's free and looks way better.

Also Not bad for your first attempt.

Looks good, man :) You should try making som antisipation (don't know how it's written :P) for the rigg. That's when a person moves, they allways move the other way a little bit first to antisipate the movement they are going to do. Sort of "going back to get speed" for the movement. Thise movements are made very clearly when animationg cartoons, so watch some of them and you'll understand :)

Xmpl: Snaggulpus (or whats his name) is saying "Exit, stage right..." He antisipates the movement by moving to the left, and the going out to the right.
