View Full Version : Lovely Audrey : portrait sketch pencils
cutepixie 06-03-2003, 09:43 AM Ok my second pic posted :D and I'm very very happy with how i finished this one...for once I bought sketch pencils and a smudge stick to help me with my drawings
I'm a big fan of Ms. Hepburn so she was my first pick of who to draw. :D
the picture is probably a little bit more larger but since I have a small scanner..i was unable to scan the full picture of it
anyways..I hope you like it :wavey:
Here she is :D (http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/sweet_weena/vwp?.dir=/&.dnm=Audrey+Hepburn+portrait.jpg&.src=bc&.view=l&.done=http%3a//briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/sweet_weena/lst%3f%26.dir=/%26.src=bc%26.view=l)

Just curiosity, but did you use a photo/drawing as a reference?
It seems so real, it can be mistaken with the original :applause:

My favorite of all your drawings :). I think you did an awesome job on the hair and I love the eyes. As the others said, it really doesn't look like you used an image as a refference but rather a life drawing :).

Hi there,
At first sight your drawing looks quite accurate, but observing
the reference photo I don't believe you know what's going on underneath the skin in this picture. It seems to me you rather copy than study. There's no muscular structure in your drawing.
I'm aware it's very subtle in Mrs. Hepburn's photo but
nevertheless it exists.
But after all, remember just my take on the situation

Hi 12dreamz,
yeah i see what your saying but in my actual picture and not the scanned one..i do have muscular structure on the drawing. Sadfully the scanner does not pick up much on it and makes the face look like jello skin. But after seeing what your saying i should perhaps make the muscular stuff a tad bit darker or just get a new better scanner lol but thanks for noticing it :D
