1. Open the tool containing the high res mesh that the normal map will be made from.

2. Assign UV mapping to it: Guvtile or what ever you choose.

3. Go into Zmapper, raise the Raycasting Max Scan Distance to your choosing, and hit Capture Current Mesh.

4. Exit Zmapper, clone the tool, go to the clone, and hit Del Higher.

5. Import the low res mesh that will be using the normal map

6. Go to Preferences, Mem, and hit Compact Now. This should fix the memory problem when the Create Projected Normal Map button is activated.

7. Place what ever texture map or UV tiling you want on the low res model to capture the normal map.

8. Hit the Zmapper button and hit Create Projected Normal Map.

9. This may take a while depending on how high the Raycasting Max Scan was set, but it seems to alleviated the memory error I was getting.

Is there a way to create a dirt map onto the low res mesh (arbitrary mesh)?

I am hoping the next update will improve upon some of these problems.
