polypic 08-26-2008, 03:53 PM i have problem with link bug maybe
the problem is some times " some times "
when i link the bone in a rigg to a controler & link the controler to some helper to hold it
after that when i try to rotate the controler i get a skew in the bone
some times i get the skew in any "object" children in the scene parented
this problem like i said some times
other time it dose not happen
now i have a rigg with the problem in
so help plz

what software are you using? and what links are you using? there are numerous ways to link controls to joints. Just need a little more detailed description of how you are setting things up to really be able to figure out the problem.

The objects are mostly likely skewing because you scaled the object you parented the children to.

i`m using max 9 / 2008
i meant parent & childern
like i said before i get the skew in any "object" children in the scene parented to any other object

i did`nt scale the parent i`m sure
i tried to freeze transformation but i didn`t make it

Nonuniform scaling of the objects as you model them can cause this. If you set your coordinate system to World, and right click the scale tool you should be able to check if you have nonuniform scaling somewhere in the geometry (e.g. x 53%, y 100%, z 100%). To get rid of it, select the culprit geometry and go to Utilites panel > Reset XForm > Reset Selected. (You probably will have to unlink it first, do it, then relink it).
