Wings does not use gizmos, but many have requested it. I personally think it can bring significant workflow enhancement but it is still a controversial subject....you will find many people on this board get a funny pinching sensation in their rectums whenever they hear gizmo and wings in the same sentance.
Bjorn (the Wings developer) has stated he will not be adding a gizmo/widget feature to Wings, ever!
But Wings is open source so there's nothing stopping someone else adding this feature.
My advice though is persevere, with Wing's superb camera system and the versatile hotkey system I really don't think a gizmo is necessary. - Baz

Personally I find no need for Gizmo in Wings and I have worked with Max a while.
I find it much more instinctive to use the Free moving tool and rotate your camera around using Aim until you get the shape right from all angles plus the plane used for the move tool, from what I experienced, adjusts itself according to the angle of the camera you choose.

I thought I would never get used to a 3D modeller without gizmos. I don't know if it is just me but I use the tweak tool a lot. Especially when modelling organic forms.
Wings is great just the way it is.

Yeah Tweak is just great and so much precise, haven't read the whole 'things that users found that're not so obvious' thread but I'm wondering is there a way to rotate multiple using the magnet?
You can rotate more than one object by selecting them in body mode and choosing combine from the body mode menu. They will then rotate as one object.
Not sure what effect magnet rotate will then have, experiment!

Actually,I wasn't exactly looking for something the magnet can do,my bad wings knowledge.
I wanted to be able to rotate multiple point around the angle of an edge or similar but I found it...Sweet for testing a character's finger animatability(sp?)
Thanks for the tips though,I'll try to be more clear next time. ;)

<< ....selecting them in body mode and choosing combine... >>
Better - imo - to just select the objects (don't combine) and do a vector rotate.
2 Advantages:
Don't lose the original object names (when using separate)
Lets the user pick the rotate axis origin - rather than having to use what wings works out

- also works in all modes ......if that's of any interest :)
Good point PP, thanks for the tip! - Baz
