View Full Version : Quadraped/creature walk cycle
byranx 08-25-2008, 06:05 PM Hiya-
I was working on a straightforward walk cycle from this free quadraped rig I had found. From doing the playblasts from all three views I started noticing some things I need to tweak but I thought I ask to see if anyone had some critiques of it. I'd really appreciate any and all comments...I'm trying to get this into my reel at some point. Thanks!

I went ahead and made some fixes. Perhaps for the better?

Some smaller tweaks and a rendered version of the perspective view. Anyone? Heh

Lookin good so far, but I think it needs more side to side movement and rotation. That will add a lot to the weight of the body (to go with the feet stomps, which are workin pretty well). Keep it up!

So I went back in and tried giving him some side to side movement and saw it was helping with the shifting of the weight. Although it might be a little too obvious now, especially in the back legs. I tried to make the rotation a little bit more pronounced too when the legs come up. Still something awkward about it, not sure. That right front leg might be popping a little too much when it comes down.
Thanks for the feedback mistasam!
