With swirling winds and stormy planets, the architecture echoes its environment. Without human scale reference, such as doors or windows, it was a challenge to convey the size of the structures. I would appreciate any critique on how to push this further. Photographs were incorporated for the planets, sky (from nasa.gov) and the pair of foreground elements (http://spencertheater.com/Theater/SpencerPhotoGallery.html).

I like very much the fact there's not a human scale in this image: this can be very challenging, but adds a lot to the extraterrestrial atmosphere.
I would have liked a more clear sky, but this depends on personal tastes only.
Very good work!

Dear photostar73,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write and for your encouragement.

If I understand you correctly, you would have prefered that the nebula not be used? I incorporated it to further the swirling gas theme. It was important for me that the wind, planet bands and sky all flow and work together. Maybe a little too much?

I'll try something different with my next work!

Kindest regards,

Lynda

I was speaking right of the dust cloud. It's real that creates a sense of wind, and you did it very well, but sometime human eyes needs to see something they know yet.
A lower dust cloud, and a more clear sky, I think that could give a higher selling possibility to this image.
I say you this for I tend too to be realistic in my images, but it's right for this reason that many times I find people that likes not them.
Have a nice time!
