Hi guys.

I've just skinned my character and now I want to attach a hat and mustache, So I parent them to the head and they seem to attach ok, but when I move my joint the head moves but not my objects?

How do I attach things to my body so that I can animate it with them attached?

cheers.

You should think first what is deforming the skin and then parent the accessory to either that deformer or to an object that properly keeps the accessory attached to your body part even after body part is deformed. In your case it might be the joint that deforms the head you may want your hat to parent to.

There is not much use in parented an object to another object that is being deformed.. as described above either parent to a joint or the moustache for example could probably be bound instead of parented.

you may try this :Rivet (button) 1.0 (http://www.highend3d.com/maya/downloads/mel_scripts/animation/Rivet--button--976.html) or djRivet.mel 1.5.5 (http://www.highend3d.com/maya/downloads/mel_scripts/polygon/djRivet-mel-4338.html) .
