Hi all,
I'm new to 3D and trying to model a car using NURBS in Maya.
I've looked at some tutorials and have got as far as laying down curves based on some orthoganal views and using them to produce some NURBS surfaces.
1. The arrows indicate where I think the problems are originating from:

2. So far so good when I attach the three bigger surfaces.

3. And then this happens...

I can't manage to attach all these surfaces nicely without the resulting surface looking like a wet rag instead of a front fender. Also, I don't know how to retain the shape of the corners.
I've checked the UVs and they're all matching in terms of direction.
I hope someone can help or has a link for a good tutorial.
Cheers
