View Full Version : 'Heroic' Run cycle; please crit
GeoffClark 08-23-2008, 04:31 PM Hello,
I've got a run cycle for a hero character that I'd like some eyes to look at. Feel free to comment on what may be wrong with it.

you got the flow in it, really, one thing though is that his arms seem to have another speed than his legs, I would subtle down them pretty much. You might even lower down the toe flap because it feels slightly to much. Frame 4 -> frame 5 his back feet has some snap to it, I would try to get a smoother blend there (frame 4 -> frame 6)
At frame 20 his foot is really deformed (the front one), you may subtle it down a bit so it doesn't feel so broken.
You got the smoothness, just try to get rid of some glitches and this big arm movement and i think you're good to go. :)

Erik,
Thanks for those pointers. I agree about the toe flop and the arms. I had not seen that glitch in the trailing leg's movement. You've got a great eye!
I will post a better version soon. (with a frame counter for better clarity)
