It's a REYES renderman compliant renderer that is still in development. It looks promissing but its not finished yet.
The best value-speed-feature REYES Rman compliante renderer i have found is AIR www.sitexgraphics.com . Its farily quick, it dows raytracing and and GI and ships with several utilities that make it a lot easier to use. It also ships with Vshade a node based shader builder that works like maya's Hypershade. Its really cool
i believe it costs $375 for Windows, $300 for linux and 125 for students.
