Hi,

Im kinda wondering how to smooth some of my faces, without adding extra edges and vertexis (or is it vertecis?) What I end up with, using the smooth polygon tool, is extra detail, which I don`t want, in the modeling stage.

I guess it would be something that averages the vertexis, and still keeps the same flow of the loop.

Go into modeling mode and look under edit polygons. By the bottom of the list there will be another list called normals. In that list there is an option to soften or harden polys. That should do the trick.

There is also another option called "Average Normals" or "Average Vertices" (I can't remember exactly which one it is).. you may want to look for that in the Polygon or Edit Polygon menus. Sorry the info is so scanty :p, but I don't have Maya running right now. :surprised
