I am making blendshapes for a character and I thought i would try the extract head mesh and recombine head to mesh method I found in the archives, as opposed to using the whole mesh-sending it to zbrush to make faces
then back to maya.
Doing it with the head only-I bring it back, recombine, but I get a slight jiggle in the mesh where the head was reattached.
I checked the vertices-they were recombined ok...
I did it the old way and had no jiggle.
Anyone know what might cause the jiggle-I saw the post about blendshape oddities --but this is happening prior to rigging.
Also-what do I save by not using the whole mesh for the blendshape? I cant notice any difference in speed between the blendshape methods.
