I was inspired by this thread: Mini DV (3D Still life) (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=66213)

And had a go myself with my Fujifilm Digi Camera as a model:

It looks really really good. I like the way the cord strap on the one looks really natural. blurred reflection looks good too. I have only one crit. Many of the buttons and dials fit too perfectly into their holes and the like. Real stuff isn't that perfect. But great images, still better than I can do.

Thanks for the crit... i will random it up a bit :) Although the camera is very sturdy and quite "perfect"

Maybe a bit of jiggling.

The model looks great, nice on the flow of the body panels. :thumbsup:

But not quite getting the "camera metal" feeling from it..I think that's just a by-product of the all-white environment though. Also some of the surfaces seem a little bright, and is the setting dial really that sharp-edged? I've never seen this cam in RL so I really have no idea :)

Your right,.. there is nothing much for the metal to reflect... i will stick it on a table env asap... the dial is that sharp. i will get some pics of the reallife camera up.

a good half shinny shader for the body will help alot. modeling is great. You need a good shader to pop it up.

Yeah--great modeling. All you need to do is tweak the surfaces and then render a fine looking image.

Having trouble getting a highlight on the edges... but here is the camera in a textured box and a wireframe to match..
