Looking Pretty Wild, Don't know if I like the colour of the Horns though, but the Armour is awesome!

Okay Bro, here the deal. Excellent work on this demon guy. It's my new desktop pic.
One Comment; the horns, I'm not too thrill about the color, but more than that, it's the texturing, maybe a bumpmap or something. A little scratches, nicks, or maybe symbolic engravings, something like that and he'd be complete

Thanks guys, What color horns do you suggest black, white; let me know. Man I love the suggestion for the ornate horns why didnt I think of that. :D
I just recently added the gouges in the horns, such a small detail made such a big improvement. :buttrock:

I like the Idea DaKing suggested about putting symbolic engravings or maybe even deep ridges.

As for colour I'm thinking more towards black/onthe high part of the ridges with a DeepDark Red or maybe even blue in the deeper part of the ridges.

d_s I will give your color scheme a try.

The eye texture is a modified version of Staffan Linder's "Bloodshot Eye Shader" on Highend3D.

Here are some size comparisons of the throneroom scene I will develop later. I guess Its back to the old drawing board with this guy. :wip:

In case anyones interested here is the shader network for the skin, a modified combination of Stahlberg's method and Tom Bardwell's Human skin shader, that gave it the cartoonish feel.

Threedeemer,
Woah, Cool looking skin. I need to get to the inside of my castle. Looks like something we may be able to play off of at the same time. I'm totally wanting to see what you have in mind for the scene. I might even jump inside for awhile on mine to catch up and talk about it.

BTW I will have to go back to see in the post's I've missed if lighting was mentioned yet. Are you working off this light setup or will you be tweeking it as you cinch up the model and texture?
Looks good right now and some specific light details could pop the mood. we can talk more as it gets that far.
For now though im back to work....Great looking work man!

Hi ME3D! Yeah that skin shader is cool, I tried to figure out all of the nodes and what they do, but theres so much of them. As you know lighting is my weakest point so I will continue to follow your excellent thread to learn how you implement fluids dynamics with the lights. I'm going to move back to my W.I.P thread, and post the stages of lighting. The look I would like to achieve, is a gloomy cathedral-like scene, with a stained glass window that interacts with the foggy environment (this will be the backlighting). He will have his two dragon minions standing beside him on the throne. For all the other lights I will use point lights to get a torchlit appearance.
