View Full Version : Softimage rendering problem

I recently downloaded the free softimage XSI EXP demo and I get an undefined render error everytime I try to render something. The demo comes with mental ray 3.0 and is supposed to work (with watermark added). Does anyone else have this problem or think they may know what the problem is?

I have a pentium 4, windows 2000 with a NIVIDA Quadro 4 550 video card with approved drivers for softimage XSI installed.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Letting us know the error message will help a lot. Set the verbosity level to Progress Report in the Render Options.

Unfourtunatly there is no error message. The thing just seems incapable of rendering. I've scoured the internet for any solutions to this and haven't even been able to find anyone with the same or a similiar problem. :annoyed:

Have you tried reinstalling or downloading again ?

What speed is your Pentium 4 cpu? there have been some issues mentioned with rendering with 2.8ghz and above and there is said to be a QFE that solves this issues but not for exp :(

My cpu is a 2.53 GHz Pentium 4 processor.
