Title: SandStorm: Alien Environment
Name: Tiberius Viris
Country: Romania
Software: Vue

Image created using just Vue 6, no other postwork other than color correction and minor fog enhancements.

Camera was set to 13 mm for more vertical FOV and dramatic effect, which also means heavy distortion on the planet's sphericity.

Scene uses a spectral atmosphere with spectral cloud layers and lower metaclouds for simulating the sandstorm

Terrain is composed of two procedurals, created by both sculpting and functions computing.

Render was done with GI

Very nice, looks fantastic. I always liked Vue's terrain tools. Much easier to figure out than Terragen and lighyears better than Bryce.

Which version of Vue did you use?

...beautiful and serene. I'm not sure I like the concept of a dust storm in a non-arid area? But the picture still looks great!
