Although I'm not currently looking for a job- I will be within the next few months.

As such, I would like peoples opinions and critiques of my online portfolio, http://www.mausart.com, so that when it is time for me to start the hunt, I can feel confident that I will land a job.

I dont have a particular market that I'm aiming for, but game development seems the most likely option as I did get a year and a half of experience there while in school. I also dont mind what kind of job I have within say, game development. I can texture / model / design / animate.... you name it.

I would also like to note that the site is still under construction, and is missing a little bit of content (I have yet to get all my hand-animated shorts on to my computer). But it's darn close :)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my site.

for a job in the games industry, you need more game specific art in there

I might be willing to hire you for a short period but I would only be able to pay you with some land. Would you be interested?

Land as in a place to build a house. I have been told by the moderators of this board that they do not like the idea of me offering land for work so I will no longer post here. If anyone is interested in this concept though you can email at kyrotekenterprizes@yahoo.com or mc@kyrotekvacations.com

**Bump**

I've recently added some more work (mostly 3d low poly stuff to help round out my game modeling abilities).

Also should have flash and hand-drawn animation up any day now (bug in the website code wont let them play.. grrrrrr :(

Just had a look at your stuff, there is a lot of strong work there. I especially liked your Monk painting.

As for the game art, it seems prop modelling is the most likely thing you would get hired for as you demonstrate that you have done it before. Is this something you would be happy doing? ... Forever? If not, I'd put more Character and Landscape stuff in to balance out the props.

If you wanted to do game animation, I would show at least one 3D character walk cycle .. bare minimum.

I hope that helps, good luck

Thanks for the advice Samadan,

Actually im working on a ton of character models / textures / animations right now. In addition that I have a slew of flash / traditional animation I need to get on the site. I'm just having trouble getting the code on my website to display .swf files from the database correctly.

Check back in a few weeks and it should show a much more well rounded website.
