On August 25th to the 27th, NVISION 2008 will host NVScene, the largest ever gathering of creative enthusiasts in the US, in the heart of Silicon Valley, California.
If you've ever been captivated by the amazing realtime visuals and sound that talented artists and coders can create on a computer, you don't want to miss NVScene, a gathering of creative enthusiasts that includes demoscene, machinima and digital art, taking place in San Jose this August 25th to the 27th.
Find out more about realtime and demoscene here (http://www.nvision2008.com/Enthusiasts/nvscene_demoscene.cfm), and check out a small sample of the amazing visuals the demoscene has produced in this demoreel. Witness the international demo competition in both Demo (Presented by HP) and 4K Intro (Presented by EA's Spore) categories on our huge screen and sound system, and learn about demos from top demo artists from the European scene from groups like ASD, Farbrausch, Conspiracy, Plastic, Excess, Still, and more, who will host presentations and seminars.
NVScene will also feature a Machinima (http://www.nvision2008.com/Enthusiasts/nvscene_machinima.cfm) competition, screenings, and machinima presentations and panels featuring some of the top personalities in the field. Presentations on Digital Art (http://www.nvision2008.com/Enthusiasts/nvscene_digitalart.cfm) by CGSociety.org and a digital art exhibit round off the packed schedule of great things to see and hear.
All this in a great, informal set up: 24-hour BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) area, a breakout room, two bars, outdoor chillout area, and more. More than $25K in prizes, and free licenses of Softimage XSI (Academic Edition) and EA's new blockbuster game Spore for every attendant at NVScene!
