On August 25th to the 27th, NVISION 2008 will host NVScene, the largest ever gathering of creative enthusiasts in the US, in the heart of Silicon Valley, California.

If you've ever been captivated by the amazing realtime visuals and sound that talented artists and coders can create on a computer, you don't want to miss NVScene, a gathering of creative enthusiasts that includes demoscene, machinima and digital art, taking place in San Jose this August 25th to the 27th.

Find out more about realtime and demoscene here (http://www.nvision2008.com/Enthusiasts/nvscene_demoscene.cfm), and check out a small sample of the amazing visuals the demoscene has produced in this demoreel. Witness the international demo competition in both Demo (Presented by HP) and 4K Intro (Presented by EA's Spore) categories on our huge screen and sound system, and learn about demos from top demo artists from the European scene from groups like ASD, Farbrausch, Conspiracy, Plastic, Excess, Still, and more, who will host presentations and seminars.

NVScene will also feature a Machinima (http://www.nvision2008.com/Enthusiasts/nvscene_machinima.cfm) competition, screenings, and machinima presentations and panels featuring some of the top personalities in the field. Presentations on Digital Art (http://www.nvision2008.com/Enthusiasts/nvscene_digitalart.cfm) by CGSociety.org and a digital art exhibit round off the packed schedule of great things to see and hear.

All this in a great, informal set up: 24-hour BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) area, a breakout room, two bars, outdoor chillout area, and more. More than $25K in prizes, and free licenses of Softimage XSI (Academic Edition) and EA's new blockbuster game Spore for every attendant at NVScene!

Click here to see a full list of speakers and sessions (http://www.nvision2008.com/Enthusiasts/nvscene_speakers.cfm)
happening at NVScene.

Bring your PC, bring your brain, bring your friends, and bring money for beer. Don't miss it!

From the guys at nVidia:

Also, to answer some questions people have in the forum: they donít have to pay full conference to attend the speaking sessions, just the regular NVScene pass which is $65 and includes a BYOC (Bring your own computer) seat and free copy of Spore.

So you pay depending on what you want to go see or do :)

This is cool.
But the video on youtube was so distorted it was hard to see the content.
Is there a higher-quality video?

Yeah, every time I see those I just want to give up coding and farm mushrooms because can't begin to fathom how they pack so much into them :)

I have been a fan of the demoscene since the beginning of the 90'ies. I wish I could go to and see this great lineup of speakers.

If you have interest in computer graphics and have the option to go, even without computer, do yourself a favor and go there.

What some of these guys/gals do on a computer is just awesome.

Hi everyone, i recently got this homework were i have to ask people that already do what i want to become, and to make sure this is what i want, i made this questions:

Sorry if i have bad spelling, this is not my first language xd

what university would u recomend for graphic arts?
Does this career have allot of competition?
Were did you study?
Why did u choose this university?
were would you have liked to study and why?
Do you use the ethic's in this job?
what have you learned from it?
What wouldn't you do again and what would you?
Were did you find more opportunities of work?
Are you in contact whit people, like associates etc...?
is creativity fundamental?
have you develop any abilities during your carrier?
what types of jobs have you done?
which restrictions have you found in this carrier?
any limitations?
what do you like the most from this carrier?
what risks have you found in this carrier?
does this job let you be whit your family?
do i have to know allot about computers?
Do you have a nice life style?
what do you recommend me, so that i don't make mistakes?
does this carrier require a big inversion $$?
do you believe ,that you will grow more in this carrier?
Do you have to be constantly updated?
Does this carrier let you live safely?

I really hope that u can answer me this questions they will make me take a decision that is really important to me and please be honest i would really appreciate it
