There is no topic for the contest - just 3D art in general :airguitar

Oh:surprised
I looked around for quite some time, and I couldn't figure out what it was all about. You might want to fix that and have a section that says how to participate.
Otherwise, it's a nice site. If time allows, I hope I can participate in the near future.

We have just added EXPOSÉ to this months prize list - It looks like it is going to be a great book. We will order few just for the pure joy and motivation for our staff.

Well, We started the poll about the rules of the contest.
1. Should the Photoshop touch-ups be allowed in the competition art? - easing of the "No PS Rule"
2. Should we accept the artwork made in Bryce and other generators (Poser, Mojo W etc) for the competition?
you can vote here on the CGTalk.com forum or got to:
Void Studios User Polls (http://www.voidstudios.net/void/index.cfm?fuseaction=polls.main&navId=58)
We hope to hear from you - we want to make this event as enjoyable as possible for everybody.

Here's what I think on your poll questions (I have more than a yes or no answer). Now I would love to win Maya, but Poser 5 is the best renderer I have. So, I think it would be fair to allow Poser or Bryce or whatever as the renderer, but still require that no stock models be allowed. That way everyone's still doing their own modelling - there's plenty of free or low-cost modellers out there - and the playing field would be level as far as content of the render. As far as post work goes, that's really up to you. It's always nice to be able to do a little touch up, but with a little (sometimes a lot) of extra work it can be avoided.

I think that we will alowed the work "rendered" in apps like Poser etc. to enter the competition. All modeling do will still have to be done in some other modeler (like rhino or so)

Damn just saw the winners for last month. What is the criteria they are judging on. A coupie doll model won, weird. Seems like that their were alot nicer images entered.

Voting was done exclusively by the community users and was based on artistic, originality and technical merits...
