Hi all,

I've just been given this link and feel the need to share. I've not seen this technology before, but it solves all the data-survey problems for my next shoot. Lets hope they release it fast.

...with an .obj exporter ;)

This is merely an extension of Photosyth and like smrgol I'm waiting for them to mesh it with geometry.

"Need a new race track for that game? Just duck tape a video camera to your cars hood and drive baby drive!"

"Need a new level for your DOOM 3? Grab that video camera and walk through the local Federal building, School, Hospital, or Park!"

It's cool and all .....
but I 'm very resentful of siggraph's apparent focus on computer vision. I am not even sure how this relates to "CG news ".
