I posted one time before, not much feedback though. But here is an accumulation of what I've done this year. Hope you like them.

All assets were created with Maya.

It seems that you have a great ability for modeling, i really enjoyed the amount of details in your 3d scenes, the animations on the other hand lacks a lot of personality, and by that i mean it lacks squash, stretch, making limbs move in an arch... for example, when the girl in the last shot faces the dragon, should have some reaction, if she is afraid, then she should jump in fear, if she is a fighter, she should at least moves back a little to anticipate fighting the dragon, and her face expression should change. That's what people enjoy seeing, personality, anticipation, reaction. If you really want to be a modeler, then i would say you are a rock star, if you wanna be an animator, then you have to work more on giving your characters some personality. I hope that makes sense.

rock on

Thanks for the comments guys

dpendleton (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=335252)- I'm working on that one, the first half of the reel was taken from a short that I've spent the last two months on. It's still work in progress atm.

Pooyag (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=69876)- thanks bro, you as well. You got the talent for animation, I'm ways away.

Ajouz (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=212099)- I agree with you man, most of the animations were rushed though i should not use that as an excuse. I've seen animators pull off really good animations without even spending too long on the monitor. Just dont have the eye for it, yet. I have to fix that ending tho if I want to keep it, thanks.

update- added a lip sync/acting clip

Animation shouldn't be rushed at all. In fact, it can take a lot longer than modeling or lighting. I see a lot of posts from people here that have shorts / reels that have great potential, but they always mention that they only left a few days for animation. I must admit when I was learning I had the same problems. But the fact is, a good solid time to spend on animation is 3 to 6 seconds a week.

Keep goin!
