Hey everyone..

Here goes my first post.
I have a weird concept in my mind..and i'm still not sure bout it.While moving towards it i created a composition with a fusion of 2d and 3d elements.

Hope everyone enjoys it..

Critics and comments are always welcome.

Thanks.

The heart looks very flat, and the strands look very pasted on, and all the "foo-foo" sparkles just add to the flatness.

The strands would work much better if they connected to the swirls inside, yet were still visually identifiable as being the same strand entering and exiting the heart.

The heart would look better with a clearer light source providing a specular reflection on the top, and a bit of refractive reflection on the bottom.

Also, PLEASE resize your images. There's no need to have to scroll across to see a piece like this with so much dead space in it.

Hey CybrGfx,

Thanks for the suggestions and comments.
I've incorporated them and i hope this one's lookin better. Please do reply so that i can improvise on it as much as i can do.

Well i've made some ammendments in the composition, as we indians will be celebrating INDEPENDENCE DAY on 15th August.
This one is dedicated to my country.

I'm proud to be an Indian.

Happy Independence Day!

Resize your images! They don't need to be any wider than 600 px, 800 if you have a LOT of fine details...It's considered "rude" to make viewers have to scroll sideways for overly large images.

This is improving, but the strand on the bottom of the heart should be moved back over. It looks like the heart is pooping...http://smiley.onegreatguy.net/yup.gif
It looks much better inside the heart, though.

The heart itself still looks too flat. Check out these refs, to get some ideas of adding highlights to add depth...

Depth is created through Values of light and dark.
Keep tweaking it, it's getting there!

Yes, now it looks 3 dimensional.

The thread at the bottom is still misplaced, and it isn't connecting to anything inside the heart. It looks pasted on as an afterthought.

The colors are very rich and jewel-like.

Good job, overall!

I'd just move that bottom thread over to the side, and connect it to a thread inside the heart.

You might lighten your background just a wee bit, so that the shadow (and depth ) of the heart is more easily visible.

Other than that, I'd call this one done.
Good work!

Congratulations to both, :applause: it ended up pretty well, you have to give credit to CybrGfx for his accurated crits, however I am not convinced about that red glow on the top center of the heart.
