I am trying to create a particular effect that involves hair growing on a surface over time.
The surface is morphing via POSEMIXER. I am using a polygon selection from that morphed geometry (not the morph targets but the actual morphed object) from which to generate the hairs. This isnt a typical hair scene--as I am generating swept geomtry to create a growing lattice.
I see that one cannot animate the Guide hair length (which would be great) --so I am keframing the length via the hair shader. This is working fine--however--the hair is not updating its roots to grow from the morphed geomtry--its ust choosing a static state of the geometry from which to grow from.
Any suggestions? Im thinking of even turning the start and end state of the hair (which Im generating swept tubes from) so they are editable and then morphing the start and end states of the hair results as geometry.
Thanks
(geez--guess I picked a bad day to post this :( )
