Category: single creature.
Frist I would like to appologise as this is an unfinished entry to the competition, I have also had to rush the entry pictures due to avoiding annoying my girlfriend. I will not be able to work on this for another 2 weeks as I will be out of the country and I completely forgot (as you do :/ ) Hope you like it and I plan to finish it as a personal project when I return. :D
Thank you everyone for your support it has meant alot!

Your blocking was good, so I think there will be no problem for basic structure of the body. I recommend not to give skin detail before primary details of the whole body. First complete all the required shape details as much as you can in comparision with the movie dinosaur then go for skin details.
keep updating . . :wip:

Thanks, yea that was a mistake I was using a model of the t-rex as reference and I forgot that it would have alot less detail than the "real" one in the movie. So I finished it from the model then realised it needed alot more work, and will do :)

I think made him too bony though, does anyone agree? Also anyone think the front shot looks off and why or is it just too late at night?
Thanks guys

Thanks hooch really appreciate the encouragement :D, I had a look at your models was great to see how you did them. I can only hope I have time to finish mine and rig it as you have would be great to get some poses. But first I want to see how much detail I can get into this before my computer melts and I havn't planned anything out so I'll wait and see. :)

Hmm, maybe the legs need to spread out more? I'm imagining the upper leg stays fairly close to what it is and the lower leg angles out a bit more. But really you've got a pose picked out so don't worry about it, just nail the pose.

Very nice and quick too so it seems :) that head looks great.
As far as crits are going the arms look a little human to me, probably a little too human, nothing else.
keep going man!

Been a week since my last update now, not done much as I've been busy at Leed's Festival and keeping promises I keep making. Anyway C & C welcome, I don't think I will do much more as I am away for 2 weeks soon and will have to post my entry before I go. :(

Looks nice! details are good.
The only thing that isn't working (for me) are the proportions. The front end seems proportionally smaller than the rear. also the front end/ mid section, looks anorexic compared to the meaty rear legs and tail.
Looking forward to your final submission.

Thanks steve I'm not sure I understand you though, after having a look I think the chest needs to be lower (which I am about to work on) but I think the thickness of the chest horizontally is correct after checking my reference. Is this what you mean?

I just meant that it looks like the front end could use a bit more mass to fit proportionally with the rear end.
The main barrel shape of the rear end/Thigh section should be nearly equal to the barrel shape of the Chest/ forward mass. (according to your refs)
also, I thought that the ribs and other bones of the front end were a bit too prominent, which is an observation you had made yourself earlier.
Again, the model looks great, and the detailing is very nice, these were just things that seemed to catch my attention.
also, the thighs on your model seem broader than that of the reference. Maybe that's what's throwing the proportions off ?
